Cleaned the coils on the roof A/C today it had not been performing like I thought it should lately.
Used foaming coil cleaner from H/D at you would not believe the crud that came out when I rinsed.
Just a heads up to others this may need to be done to ensure efficient operation.

I wonder if that foam would clean the radiator?
I was just up on the roof cleaning the ACs. The units we have have a plastic compartment for the front part of the AC, where the air passes thru the exchanger to cool the air. There were numerous screws missing creating a gap where outside air was entering the system. I replaced the missing screws and then used packing tape to positivily seal the small gap remaining. Will let you know how it works next trip.

Sean,
I personally have used the foam on my radiator on numerous vehicles and it works great.

What is it called? And you have used it on the Cat engine radiator?
-
Sean,
It is called A/C safe and I purchased it at home depot.
Hope that helps.
