Title: Flexsteel seat W/Footrest
Post by: Jim Shirley on September 07, 2012, 06:35:06 PM
The passenger seat with footrest has died.  Won't go up.  There is power to the switch and all other controls work. Anyone else had this problem??  Maybe the switch??

We had a similar problem a number of years back and it was actually the actuator motor itself.  Replaced that and it has been fine every since.  I'd check voltage at the motor connections to ensure it is NOT the switch.  If you have 12 volts (+/-) there, then it has to be the motor itself.

Glenn,   Does the same motor run forward, back, tilt, etc and the footrest. Or, does the footrest have its own motor??
All other movements are working.

FYI you may want to check with flexsteel they do offer a life time warranty on the frame work but should be able to supply parts
