We are headed for South Carolina on I95, when our check transmission light came on. When we checked, the code D1P07 41 came up. Can't find the explanation of codes anywhere in the book. Does anyone have the codes?
Thanks,
Mike

Mike,
The first code (D1) indicates this is the first diagnostic code. The Second (P01) is the main code. You should also have two more digits (the sub-code). Without these last two digits you cannot determine the exact problem.
If you can retrieve the full code, Google "Allison transmission codes " and you will be able to determine your problem. The P01 main code indicates a range of problems.
Hope this helps,
Bill

Mike, I guess I need to clean my glasses. I didn't see the sub-code in your post. Code D1P0741 indicates "Torque Converter Clutch System Stuch on".

Mike,
According to a 2009 manual, D1 P0741 indicates " torque converter clutch system, stuck off"
The reference is series 3000 & 4000 Transmissions Allison so may not be applicable to your 08. in any case here's the reference

I'll check further in a bit.

Repost of Alllison referencing
When at site, find "Cick Here for Allsion Code Manual" and see page 41 in resulting pdf manual.
