Our TV lift mechanism on our 2003 Patriot has decided to remain in the down position. Anyone had experience trouble shooting this issue? Power fuse to unit checks out OK.

Does the ignition key have to be in the off position? Also, perhaps the parking brake must be on, and/or the transmission must be in neutral. I think federal law prohibits TVs visible to the driver to be able to operate if the vehicle is operational.

We have a drop down TV in our 06 Thunder it has been a problem since day one!!!
One problem is heat if you are in an area this will cuase a limit swith to prevent movement up or down. The up limit swith is on the right side of the TV this does allow some adjustment.
If your in the down mode the Bell crank gear box is on the left side of the lift bar you will need to pull a pin/clip then push the crack forward to turn it. If you in the up position you have real trouble.
I have found that if I keep the set about a 1/2 inch for up or down position this will allow me to move both directions once we get a positive movement then we can move the set up or down but I always keet that 1/2"
FYI since the set does not lock in the up position having the set down this 1/2 allows heat to bleed off and this is working for me.
