We want to thank everyone who responded to our questions about obtaining an extended warranty. After much investigation, checking the internet, info from warranty companies at FMCA and various phone calls, we decided to go with Wholesale Warranties out of San Diego, CA. We selected the Xtra Ride warranty. That program was recommended by several different companies. It is an exclusion policy, meaning if something is not listed, then it is covered. After getting many prices, they were actually several thousand dollars less that others for the same coverage. Their 7 year coverage started on the date of purchase of the warranty, not the date we purchased the motorhome, which gave us an additional year of coverage.
Obviously, we don't know how Xtra Ride will perform, but it was also recommended by our dealer, Alliance Coach.
We dealt with a gentleman names, Stacy Tuers, at Wholesale Warranties. His phone number is 800/939-2806. You can either contact him, (mention our name) or email us at tklimowski@comcast.net if you would like more info.
Thanks again for your help and Happy New Year

Fran and Ted,
We had the XTRA Ride Warranty when our coach was new and they covered about $20,000 worth of repairs for us. We couldn't get it renewed when we looked for a new warranty or we would have continued with them. Good luck with them. One thing, always make sure you contact them once you get to the repair shop. Don't wait or sometimes you end up having to pay for things your warranty might have covered.

Do you know how old a coach they will cover? Henry

When we bought ours, I also got the EW from the folks in San Diego and ours was 11 years old at the time. Coverage is good but we havn't used it very much. Now with the gen set issue, I may get another opportunity.
