Getting ready to service my air-over-hydrolic disc brakes. Does anyone have a specific recommendation on cleaning and type of lubricant to use? I plan on taking the rear wheels off for this service and leaving the front wheels on, then just removing the slide pins to clean and lubricate.

I had a shop do ours. They only charged $50 per wheel. They used a whire wheel and ground off all the corrosion and applied silicone gease to the caliper slides. The difference it made was noticable right away.

Keith,
Thanks for the suggestion. My reason for this post was because of several differenct approaches to servicing these disc brakes. I have been told by mechanics to use silicone grease, anti-seize and synthetic and mixtures of brake grease w/anti-seize. Just trying to figure out the best solution.
