Recently a number of folks have requested info on the forum re locating repair facilities while on the road. It got me to thinking that we should have a list of providers available on the site that was based on member's recommendations, since often one doesn't want to wait for forum responses. I poked around the site and found such a listing in the "Sources for Suppliers, Parts, and Maintenance Materials" General Board. Open the Board and select "RV Service Reviews". The listing is by state. I ran a check on shops/suppliers I had used and found it to be in agreement with my impressions. Check it out if you haven't already done so. Looks like it can be of help both on the road and when/if you are at your stick house.

Had that website developed like RVParkReviews.com did it would have been a valuable resource. Unfortunately, if you look at the stats, there are only a few thousand service reviews on it compared to the >170k park reviews. A few thousand may sound like a lot, but every time I've tried to use it in a strange city there were either no reviews or reviews so old as to not be relevant. I'm not saying it isn't worth putting reviews on it to try to revive it, but as it stands at present IMHO it is pretty useless. It's also not functioning at this moment.
