I am having a problem with keeping my '01 Contessa's left front jack extended. Monaco tech service suggested a "flushing" solution but I can't find the four cylinder solenoids along with the pump and reservoir. Can anyone help provide a safe way to remedy my problem?

Jim I am not sure about the 01 Contessa but on the 06 Pat. the Hyd. Reservoir and 4 solenoids are located behind the entry step, the reservoir is very difficult to check about the best you can do is remove the cap and feel for fluid.
I did have issues with the solenoids 2 years ago and would get a puddle of Hyd. Fluid below the steps.
I did get a local shop here in Settle to rebuild two of the solenoids and so far have not had a repeat problem.

Alternatively, the pump and reservoir for the RVA levelers on many SMC chassis are located behind the rear wheel on the passenger side. Similar to what Jerry posted, you have to remove the "plug" and stick your finger in to check the fluid level. Because of the location it is easiest to pump fluid in.

Jim,
Just crawled under my 01 to check. Pump is located just aft of the front stairs between them and fuel tank. It looks like the solenoids are located about 2 ft inboard from the pump. It also looks to me like a job best done on lift.
Good luck. Steve

If your pump is located under the front step, see if the second step will pull out. I can access the pump from above. No crawling around.

Thank you all for your quick responses - I will check the suggested location - my problem is most likely the far left solenoid.
