Title: glacier national park
Post by: Robert Mathis on April 05, 2013, 02:09:12 PM
We are planning to go to Glacier this summer on our way to Alaska. Any suggestions as to routes into and onward would be helpful. We are planning to go to Yellowstone?Grand Tetons first, then on to Glacier and up forom there. 42' Contessa pulling a toad.

Glacier has a size limit, your 42ft is to long we parked outside and use the car for the tour

When we were at Glacier in 2006, we stayed at North American RV Park in Coram MT.  It was one of the few RV Parks that wasn't completely tree covered.  A plus for us since we have a satellite internet dish and also TV dish.

Robert, you have a few parks just outside the park we found the San-Suz-Ed park to be a nice spot http://www.sansuzedrvpark.com/ they also have a KOA but I try to avoid the KOA traps.

We stayed here when we where at Glacier because it was ruffly equal distance between the entrances.  No sewer, but they come around and pump out your tanks.  http://www.glaciermeadowrvpark.com/    It's mostly an open field with woods on the back side.

Stayed here the last time in West Yellowstone http://www.yellowstoneholiday.com/.  Was a nice area if you want something with more of a view.

We do a lot of hiking when in these area's, so sometimes it's nice to have place to sit for a day.  Not retired yet so we tend to over do it, but getting better at that.
