On our way back from Florida in March , I was commending to my wife how well everything was working ( mistake!!) 15 minutes later my stop engine light came on , the engine temperature went to 225 degrees, and was forced to pull over on I-75. Upon disembarking from the coach I noticed anti freeze coming from the Aquahot area (which I had just serviced.) I was able to crawl over the AguaHot unit, and found that the engine preheat circulation pump had the bottom blown apart , consequently I lost a lot of engine coolant. I was fortunate to have the pump bypassed by roadside assistance and was on the road a couple of hours later. Apparently they must be having a problem with this pump, because it was replaced by a much heavier duty pump at a cost of $ 800.00 installed, when I got home. Fortunately covered by extended warranty.
I thought it would be helpful to share this experience. Anyone with an engine preheat pump would probably appreciate a splicer or hose joiner ?? on board just in case.
