Title: Taking Dogs to and from Canada
Post by: Charles Wilson on September 02, 2013, 06:28:09 PM
Hello All:

We are planning a trip to Canada and then back to New England for the fall foliage, Is there anything we need to do when taking our dogs to Canada and then back to the US.

Health Certificates and current rabies I'm sure, anything else?

Thanks,

Charley

From the Canada Border Services website:

http://www.inspection.gc.ca/animals/terrestrial-animals/imports/policies/live-animals/pets/dogs/more-than-8-months-rabies-free/eng/1333656065209/1333667082603

Also, for other things to be aware of:

Vet certificate and rabies is about it. Effectively the same as when we go into the US.
