Title: 12 Volt fuse box 1996 Monterey
Post by: Jim Kaiser on September 04, 2013, 08:57:56 PM
Hi Everyone,
I am the new owner of a 1996 Monterey and cannot locate the 12 volt fuse panel. We have no power to the cruise control, fog lights or back up lights.  We are thinking it is a fuse problem and can't find the fuse panel for these items. Anyone else have a similar problem.... any help appreciated!

Jim,
Not sure but on the circa 2000 units Beaver put the 12 v fuses in the bedroom closet near the breaker panel. On my Contessa I had to remove a plate to access the fuses.

Jim,

On my 1997 Monterey, the fuses are next to the breaker panel in the bedroom under an access plate.

Good luck,

Karl

Jim,

I have a 2005 Monterey and there is a 12 volt fuse panel in the bathroom right under the AC panel.  However, these fuses probably do not control those items you are having a problem. Now it is time to check the 12 volt buss in the electrical compartment.

If you are lucky there will be a description of all those circuits pasted on the compartment door.

Again, I am speaking about a 2005 model year.

Feel free to cpontact me if you have othrr questions or need help.

Dennis

Jim,
The circuits that you described are probably not fused. Most of the for chassis power circuits like the ones you described are powered by auto-reset circuit breakers that are located in the LF electrical bay that is below the driver's window.
