Title: Headlight switch
Post by: Adam Hicklin on September 15, 2013, 07:42:22 AM
I pulled the headlight switch to turn on the headlights and the knob with attached shaft came all the way out!  I put it back in and was able to apply some side tension to pull it out and get the lights on, but this is a problem.  Question is, can this be fixed, or do I need to replace the whole switch?  While I'm at it I may as well replace the hi beam/lo beam floor switch because every time I step on it, all the lights go out!  Once I get the switches working, I'll do the headlight fix.

Any words of wisdom?

Take the old one out and take it to an automotive parts store for the to match.

Dimmer switch should be easier.

I think it is a GM switch. If the shaft keeps coming out, the switch needs replacement.
