Title: Magnum Inverter

HELP!
Three times in the last two days, I have had electrical power issues. We are connected to 50 amp service.
First time I became aware of problem was when generator started. (Ags). Since then I have kept an eye on the gauges. The first and second occurrences were fixed when I reset the shore power brakers ( they were not thrown) after each occurrence batteries recharged quickly to float status (15 mins). This time however I am getting a message on the remote that line 1 is open. I'm inverting DC at 12.5 volts. What is happening and how can I fix it?

Sounds like you have bad shore power. Check both legs of your 50 amp service and see that each leg is supplying 110 V or more, if not that could be the source of your problem.  Low AC voltage cutout on the Magnum inverter is 80 volts to the best of my memory. Just sounds like one leg of the shore power is out. Hope that helps.

Could also be a faulty transfer relay. If shore power is OK, check output of transfer relay of input to inverter. Something a simple as a loose connection in the transfer relay could cause your symptom and be intermittent.

Steve & Steve. Thanks. We're checking the shore power in the morning. I have switched to 30 amp outlet and all seems good.thanks again.
