Title: Cell phone / iPad Antenna Booster
Post by: Richard Higley on October 22, 2013, 12:55:28 PM
Looking to increase my cell phone / iPad signal while on the road and in RV resorts where coverage is marginal. Need recommendations for a quality 4G cell phone antenna booster. Thanks for your help.

Rich,

I have read a lot of things posted by Jack Mayer and I believe he is a good source on communication for rvers.

He has a wealth of information on his website on all sorts of things. I have contacted him in the past and he responds pretty quickly. I believe he is tester for a number of products.

The Wilson Sleek is the only affordable device at the moment that will provide both 4G and 3G amplification for smart phones.  It can be used with a tablet or iPad but its cradle isn't designed for an object that large.  However, if you Velcro'd it to the tablet it should work reasonably well.  Using your phone as a hot spot does not cost extra if your carrier is Verizon and you are using one of the Shared Everything plans.

Jeff and Joel,

Thanks for the info. Will look into both suggestions.
