98 Beaver Patriot 37' Ticonderoga:
I would like to talk with someone who has replaced this wiper motor unit on their coach.
Symptom 1: Wiper motor will not shut off until the ignition key is turned off. Once that happens, it stays off until wiper switch is turned on again.
Symptom 2: Only one speed and no variable or high speed.
Motor has 5 electrical lugs and four are connected.
I have talked with Gerald F and he thinks the likely problem is the "park relay" located inside the wiper motor. (Thanks Gerald for your help)
I called BCS parts and they have one they claim fits 96 thru late 90's. BUT, their unit has only 3 lugs on it so I am concerned about that. They said it is a OEM part.
Question 1: Has anyone replaced a motor assembly?
Question 2: Has anyone replaced the "park relay" only by tearing down this unit and where did you source the relay?
Any thoughts and suggestions will be appreciated.
