Title: fuel gauge not reading correctly

I am having problem with my fuel gauge not reading correctly... flucuates from 1/4 to 3/4 tank then stays on 1/4--even though tank is full. please advice if possible. :)

It sounds like you have a bad tank sending unit (sensor). If you can get to the tank unit, disconnect the hot wire to the sending unit and your dash gauge will go to full when the ignition is on, and empty when you ground the wire. If that is what happens, replace the tank unit (sensor).
