The door bell in the entry handle of my 2008 Contessa has stopped working.
What might be the reason and where do I begin to start looking to resolve the problem/reason??

Ours was battery operated. One battery behind the button and the other in the ringer box which was behind the passanger side sofa.
Worked fine with new batteries.

KEITH,
" One battery behind the button"
How in the world does one remove the button in the grab bar to replace a battery???

Leah, ours wason a seperate button without keyless entry. If your doorbell button is actualy part of the handle then it might be wired direct to power. Perhaps a relay in the service bay?

I seem to remember there being an issue with the voltage to the door bell button being too high and eventually burning out the button. The E-Grab handle is made by Trimark and I think they even had a fix for this by providing a relay. I did a quick search but couldn't find what I was looking for. Let me keep looking.

Just found it but was unable to copy the link. Search for "Doorbell controller fix for Monaco RVs" and see if this applies to your situation.

Thanks so much for the info....that is the issue and it definitely seems to apply to our coaches and some others. Appears the grab handle has to be removed to fix the problem, wasn't wanting to hear that but will pursue getting the fix done. Still don't know exactly where the bell is located, but suspect it is somewhere in the wall near the door.
Thanks for your research and help. The link is: http://www.trimarkcorp.com/EN/media/eask/SB119%20Monaco%20Doorbell%20Fix_Rev3.pdf
