Title: wires that go nowhere
Post by: Sean Hulbert on June 17, 2014, 09:53:26 PM
Hello everyone,  I recently bought a 1998 Beaver Patriot.  Had a inspection done by a rv mechanic and a CAT dealer they said everything was top notch. I've stated to notice wires that go to nowhere. Can someone help me find where these wires should connect to. One wire seems to go to the alternator and a set of wires to a solenoid that is located far back passenger in engine compartment.

Sean,
I have a 1998 Contessa with 3126B with a similar layout as yours.  Attached is a photo of what the original alternator connections looked like.  I believe what you may have on the curb side is an external pump involving the Hurricane boiler heat exchange system.  I do not have an external pump but I do have the valves and heat exchanger shown in your photo.   The reason & purpose for the loose wires are a puzzle.
