The bedroom slide would not extend yesterday. I kept working the switch and it finally went out. I put it back in a little and it went back out OK. This happened once before. It is electric so I am thinking I should just replace the switch. Has this happened to anyone else and any other ideas?
 Thanks Jim

It may be just the contacts on the spade lugs on the switch.  I would pull the switch and work the connectors back and forth on the switch lugs to clean them and make a better contact before I bought a new switch.  Maybe use a piece of sandpaper or the wife's fingernail file to clean the lugs a little.  I had a switch problem like that with my levelers not working all the time.  I cleaned them up and they have been working ever since.

I have had this happen sometime when we overnight at Walmart. It is a low voltage problem in my case. I just start the generator for 5-10 minutes move the slide while generator is running.

Could be the switch contacts or the electric brake if you have one on the end of the motor shaft. It can be dragging and not releasing properly. If you press the switch and power is applied to the brake and motor leads then the switch and relay are ok. There will be no hum or sound from the brake or motor when you press the switch if the brake is locked or dragging which makes it hard to diagnose without using a meter. Link is here on cleaning the brake and testing the brake release in case you need it.

Thanks for every one's input, I will check the brake this weekend and the switch connections.
 Thanks
