Title: Outside Temperature Sensor
Post by: Jerald Cate on June 24, 2014, 01:56:19 AM
I had my front cap repainted earlier this year and ever since my outside temperature indication on the Alpine system indicates bad.  Looking at previous threads someone mentioned the sensor was somewhere behind the front cap but they weren't sure where the sensor was located.  I'm assuming there is a connector up in there somewhere that didn't get reconnected but I don't see it anywhere.  Just wondering if anyone has located this sensor and/or connector and could tell me where to look.  Thanks.

Ours is located inside the side mirrors on the passenger side.

That's a place I haven't looked yet and it makes sense because all that stuff was removed for painting.  Thanks, I'll see if I can find something that looks like a thermocouple wire in that area.
