I had several scratches and chips here and there in my Cherry Wood cabinetry and it's been one of those things that's been gnawing at me.
I took one of my doors down to my local Building Center and actually a wax putty stick that matches really close.
Some areas worked better than others but it beats sanding them down and refinishing cabinets. At minimum it diminished them visually.
Here are a couple of photos of how it worked. Some before and afters.
