Title: dash a/c on a 2001 Contessa
Post by: LaMonte Monnell on May 14, 2015, 05:42:58 AM
I am having an issue with my dash air system not cooling.

I had a loose fitting on the compressor line which I am sure caused some refrigerant to leak out.

I have searched from the compressor forward to the condenser and cannot find the servicing port to add refrigerant to the a/c.

Does anyone with a Contessa know where they are located that could let me know.

It's super hot in Florida and am planning a 2000 mile trip the beginning of June, not that the dash a/c is superb to start with!

On my 03 Contessa one port is above the generator access in the front about the center of the windshield. The other is at the upper corner of the condenser located behind the access step from under the coach. From the ground reaching up nearly a full arms length reach.

Lamonte,
I believe that the service ports on the 2001 Contessa are located inline as the lines are leaving the engine compartment. They are accessible from under the coach on the driver's of the engine compartment.

Thanks so much for the replies. I will search in that area once again. Crawling around under there is way too hot when its 90+ outside. Check in the am before the heat begins.
