Title: Aqua hot
Post by: Dave Blystone on September 03, 2015, 06:25:32 PM
Boy I'm as dumb as can be.  I was changing the nozzle on my aqua hot and I cross threaded it.  I hope somebody knows the tap size so I can chase the threads or maybe a better fix.

Thanks Dave Blystone

Dave I am sorry I don't know the size but I know that John Carrillo or Orman Claxton would know this FYI it may be metric as these units are made in Germany.

Dave
You might pull the nozzle again and take it to the hardware store.  They can check the size and pitch of the thread and sell you a correct tap.
Almost did the same thing myself.

Dave,

I know that these are standard nozzles and not made specifically for Webasto burners so the treads should be the same as any other small oil burner nozzle in the size range of 1 gph. Not sure that helps you much but a call to Delavan or one of the other nozzle manufacturers should give you the info you need. They use a .35 GPH 60 degree in a B pattern I think for a nozzle in these units.

Rodger Burke says he ships Danfoss Nozzles:  http://www.parts.rvhydronicheaterrepair.com/Nozzle-Fuel-WPX-886-41A-WPX-886-41A-DF.htm (http://www.parts.rvhydronicheaterrepair.com/Nozzle-Fuel-WPX-886-41A-WPX-886-41A-DF.htm)

Danfoss has a lot of them:  http://products.danfoss.com/productrange/heatingsolutions/burner-components/oil-nozzles/ (http://products.danfoss.com/productrange/heatingsolutions/burner-components/oil-nozzles/)

Reviewing a couple of the Danfoss spec sheets suggests the "standard" nozzle thread might be 9/16-24:  http://heating.danfoss.com/PCMPDF/Nozzles-OD_X004056_BDCBD202.pdf (http://heating.danfoss.com/PCMPDF/Nozzles-OD_X004056_BDCBD202.pdf)

(PS:  With intended humor, it makes me happy not having a Hydro-Hot anymore!)

Thanks everybody. I got a tap and ran it in by hand to cleaned the threads.  All is good.
