Title: Carling Switch Lamp Replacement
Post by: Steve Huber on October 17, 2015, 06:42:25 PM
Does anyone know how to remove the lamps in these Carling switches? I tried my old standby of using a vacuum hose but can't get enough of a grip on them. Did a quick search on the web but didn't find anything.
Thx, Steve

Looks like you popped an O ring and still can't get a hold of it?  Maybe a stronger vacuum source is needed.  Those pins can be tight, like the J10's in ceiling pucks.

Steve,

I assume you are pulling the light because it failed and want to replace it. I was thinking wipe the bulb top with alcohol and use a drop of suitable epoxy to bond something to it as a handle to pull it. Not sure if this bond would be strong enough, just have to try and see. Probably have to use a magnifier at our ages to hit the target :-)
