Title: Air dump before storage?
Post by: Lawrence Tarnoff on November 05, 2015, 03:22:23 AM
We'll be taking our coach for winter storage on Friday.  The coach will sit until early May.  Shall I dump the air?

Lawrence,

My coach holds air quite well and while the gauges drop over time the coach seems to stay level so I do not drop air for that reason. The advantage to dumping the air is if the leak down rate is significantly different for the various coach corners, over time it can create some possible twisting stress. If you dump the air the coach can settle down uniformly in a controlled manner.

Lawrence,

Condensation forms in compressed air lines also so I believe it is recommended that you dump the air.
