I'll be removing the original Hurricane reservoir and overflow tank from the engine compartment. Can I put any weight on the engine at any point without damaging it or must I refrain from stepping or sitting on the engine? I weigh about 210. Thoughts?

I can't see why not. Just watch what you stand on like, electrical connections, plumbing etc.

Mike, I would be extra careful putting weight around wiring loom on top and rear of
engine. Note: sensors all plastic with short pig tail to connect ( as time go by plastic
connectors are very brittle ). Boy are you lucky that there is a hole big enough to get
on top of engine. Dave Atherton Retired Cat Mechanic

Dave,
I guess having just a single living room slide does offer that advantage. ;)
