Title: Engine Code 164 32 1

Coach has been running great, getting it ready for the summer.  Went to start and engine would turn over, but it would not start.  Checked codes and the Engine Diagnostics Code captured 164-32-1, INJ ACT PSR OUT OF RNG.  Assume this mean Injection Actuation Pressure Out of Range.

Is this a sensor problem that can simply be fixed, or is this possibly a major repair?

Any information would be greatly appreciated before calling the wrecker and tow to CAT.

Coach:  Beaver Monterrey Trinidad 30 - Caterpillar 3126B - 45,000 miles - serviced 7 months ago by CAT service center where they did full diagnostics and cleared computer and put in latest tune.

Paul, there is a code for 3126 B. 164-02 injection actuation pressure sensor Erratic,
164-03 injection actuation pressure open circuit, 164-04 injection pressure short circuit.
If you remove wire from the IAP sensor pigtail location left of valve cover first sensor from front
engine will will start IAP sensor is bad. The part number for the Injection Actuation Pressure
Sensor. Cat part number. 167-1709. Dave Atherton Retired Cat mechanic
