Title: Oil Change
Post by: Jim Shaw on April 12, 2016, 11:36:01 PM
I usually change my oil every year and I normally pit on 6 to 10 thousand miles each year. I last changed it three years ago and have only put on 4,000 m miles. Should I change it now even if it only has only been 4,000 miles. I hope to use it more  this year?
Thanks
Jim

Good question Jim.  I always change it every year even with only 1500 miles.  Not this year.  We put 3000 miles on it last year but used good filters and blended synthetic oil instead of Delo 15-40.
My main concern is the acid so it will be good to see answeres to your question.

Jim,
You have two options here. First, you can have an oil analysis performed and use that to determine if and/or when you to change your oil. The other option is to just use the manufacturer's suggested change recommendation and change the oil now.
