It seems to me that we have an unsung hero in our midst and he goes by the name of Gerald Farris. I see his replies to almost every issue we come up with and he provides sage and sound advice. And when we're stupid he educates us and when we do something right he recognizes us, who could ask for a better teacher!
How can we thank him for his help you ask? How about this, if Gerald has ever helped you out, reply to this thread with a short description for all to see.
I've gotten help from Gerald for a fuel (algea) problem, the coach not starting after a fuel up and how to refill the hydraulic pump used for leveling and slide operation after a repair. I can't put a price on how much money he has saved me but I sure am glad he took the time to help me out.
Thank you Gerald!

Sign me up to the fan club. Always has a moment for dumb questions and patience with us newbies. Gerald and Glenda are both on my short list of truly good folks.

Gerald has been excellent support for a lot of us with his extensive knowledge and sage advice, myself included. I also want to pass along my thank you. We are lucky he chose a Beaver. Hate to have lost him to something like the Newmar crowd. :-)

I'm new to the Forum in the past year. One of the things that struck me immediately was the constant level of clear advice Gerald shares. So far, I have been the recipient of that advice twice. Yes, many thanks from a grateful fan!

Count me in. First time was a problem with supplemental braking/power issues. Second time was when he changed the filters in my Allison. 45 minutes and 2 quarts of fluid. Allison said it was a 2-3 hour job and one gallon of Transynd. That does not include endless questions around the campfire.
Simply the best.

YES ABSOLUTLY A GREAT RESOURCE!
I have been dis-enchanted with the engine brake on the Cat C-9 vs. the jake brake on k,y previous Pat. Thunder.
Gerald was very informative in my quest to upgrade this brake and I have finally resigned myself to accepting what I have and learning to adjust and live and operate with it.
Gerald is definitely a star!

Gerald, you are great. You have helped me several times and I am deeply appreciative. AND, allowing me to share your internet connection at Albuquerque this past March was simply great.
