Title: CAT 3126B Radiator surge tank sight glass.

We're still familiarizing ourselves with our 2001 Patriot with a CAT 3126B. My manual says there is a sight glass on the surge tank. We can't find it. Could suggest where to look?

Apart from your question for which I have no answer because our coach has a C-12, this is what some of us have done to more easily see our fluid levels.

Ed,
On most coaches of your vintage the sight glass is on the side of the tank that faces the engine and impossible to use even if the tank was transparent enough and most are not. The solution that I use is the addition of a surge tank. It works great.

Again my thanks to all for the quick responses. Karl and I spoke on the phone today and he explained exactly where to find the elusive sight gauge as well as how to confirm the level with the "finger test" if the gauge is too cloudy to use.
