Title: Alpine cva1005 monitor issue
Post by: Mike Wild on September 10, 2016, 03:49:57 AM
Hello all,

My Alpine CVA 1005 is fully functional except for the display - it is just a snowy white. Tried re-setting but no luck. No Alpine display, no back-up camera, etc. The troubleshooting section in the manual is useless. Any ideas?

Thanks,

Mike

Mike,
I replaced my Alpine with a new Jensen unit because I hated the radio functions on the Alpine. If you are in the Surprise Az. area or at the Quartzsite Rally this winter you can have my old unit to see if it will correct your issue.

Thanks Gerald - very kind offer. This is my second Alpine unit to fail in 6 months ao I may go with a more modern-day system.

Did you (or anyone) find the location of the "brain" for the Alpine system in your coach? We have searched but can't find it.

Mike,
In my coach there were 3 components to the Alpine system. The radio head, the DVD reader, and another that you are probably calling the brain that was located in the dash to the left of the Bose amplifier that is located directly in front of the passenger's seat.
