Non-toxic to cats
Thanks

To stop them coming in the rig we NOW spread Comet or other fine powder on around hoses etc. where they touch the ground. To get rid of them try ant traps - takes 2-3 days but it works.

A thin "band" of Vaseline around cables, hoses, etc where the enter the RV is said to keep ants out. The layer has to be redone occasionally but it does seem to work. The theory is that the ants won't cross the sticky line.

We use Bayer brand insect killer for Home (in a blue container). It comes in a gallon jug with attached sprayer, or 1qt concentrate. I can't remember the full name right off. Yes, it is an insecticide, but is safe for cats and other animals once it drys (which is fairly quick). We have cats as well, so are very careful with what we use.
