Title: Need tips for cleaning motorhome duvet cover
Post by: Marty and Suzie Schenck on November 11, 2016, 10:53:49 PM
I would like tips from anyone who has cleaned their Duvet cover ( factory bed spread) for a 2002 Patriot
Thunder.  It has never been cleaned, it has been stored and not used for several years. I don't know if I can wash it in a washing machine or do I need to have it dry cleaned.

Thank you,
Suzie

Hi Marty and Suzie
I would go the "better safe than sorry" route and have it dry cleaned!   :D

Margaret has washed our original cover and the original pillow covers more than once in the washing machine (in the coach).  No problems or change in condition.  Now having said that, are we talking about the same thing?  I would describe this cover as a throw cover.  We put it on the bed on top of our duvets so the cat and dog can lie on it.  It's brightly colored and has tassels on at least one edge.  It is not large enough to be used as a bed cover.

I  have had my factory spread cleaned three time and all times came back beautiful.  I would recommend dry cleaning if you are at all hesitant.  just make sure the cleaners is a topnotch cleaner tho.
