Title: Eternabond Application

What is the best way to prep the roof area to be covered with Eternabond tape?  Alcohol, Acetone, MEK, etc...

I recently redid a small roof on a class "C".  A coach shop suggested I use a "wax & Grease remover" prior to new sealant and it softens the old a bit as well.  This product cleans the roof very well.  It is available at most automotive paint supply stores for around $6 per quart.  I would think that Eternabond would stick quite well after this.

I have read in other forums that lacquer thinner is the cleaner of choice.  Having some self-leveling sealer under the tape seems to be a good idea to moderate the sharp edges of the vents and screws.  Silicon, like in many polishing liquids and some caulking, must be removed.  An automotive paint store, as Keith mentioned, should be a good source to guide you through that.  

I also read that you need to roll it down well.  

Thinking seriously about doing mine.
