We have a 2007 Beaver Contessa. When pulling the head light switch it affects the fuel gauge. The fuel gauge has become more inaccurate. It's in the shop and the mechanic is waiting for a return call from the gauge manufacturer. The mechanic thinks it may be a ground issue.
He called the support line for Beaver and Monaco and they told him the courtesy service will end in a month.

Dale,
On my 06 PT the fuel gauge does the same thing. When I turn on the headlights the fuel drops about a 1/4 tank. Have never bothered to find out the cause. Probably a current draw issue through the light switch. I just know that it does it and live with it.

Probably good of Monaco to have kept it going this long. Beaver went home to BCS about a year ago.
I have had this problem on cars and it was the headlight switch.

Lee and Dale, have you done the headlight conversion yet? If not, such an improvement may lower the current draw that might be affecting the gauge.
Just throwing that out there, although Roy or others more familiar with the conversion may dismiss such a theory.

Caution to the shop working on this system! I am pretty sure all the dash wiring is part of a "multiplex" system that Monaco used then. Fred

Mine started out with the 1/4 tank drop and got worse.
