Title: Roadside Assistance
Post by: jeffprupis on February 24, 2017, 01:46:34 AM
Thoughts, observations, opinions Coachet vs FMCA Roadside Assistance vs Others. My Coachnet membership is up for renewal and wondering if there is something better/cheaper out there. Need coverage for TOAD too. TIA

We have had very good support from Coach Net purchased through Overland for a good price.

I'm sold on Coach net. Their service has been excellent when I needed them.

This same question comes up often.  There are people happy or unhappy with both of those major companies.  I had Coachnet and they left me on the side of I-75 for hours until I got smart and got and paid for my own assistance.  I dropped them and bought Good Sam.  They have responded twice when AI needed them with no issues.  I think it's more a matter of the call taker, time of day and the responded contacted.  I have a good friend that is a recover service operator (tow truck driver).  He responds to CN, GS, FMCA or anyone that will pay him.  I recommend Good Sam.

I've had good service from both AAA RV Plus and Coachnet. Currently with Coachnet due to price.

Don't bother with Good Sam as after 3 years of paying for the service I called for a tow on my toad car while in Az. this past Dec. and was told they didn't have anyone in the area to that the call.
So I ask what do I do and was told to fend for myself and submit a clam.
I told him that he was in a better place ( behind a desk vs standing on side of the road ) to find me help than I was but I got no help.

That is exactly what Coach Net did to me.  I think it just depends on who is working when you call and where you are.
