Hello guys. Was interested in your conversation, as we got an 08 contessa in Dec and learning all I can. Has any of you had a problem with the step cover mine just stopped like it was a fuse, checked all readily available fuses, maybe it is in the panel you guys are working in.

Our Monterey has at least 3 circuit breakers in the electrical bay (streetside frontmost) that are labeled "Step", one of which may be for the cover and not the step. Is any other device out of commission that may be electrically or air related?
A lot of times the issue is not a fuse or breaker but rather in the air supply, the slip channels are blocked in some way, or something is out of alignment. Make sure you have plenty of air pressure. Check the secureness of all the nuts on the circuit breaker and ground busses in the bay. Look for anything that may be blocking free slide movement. It could also be a bad connection in the rocker switch. After that you may have to dig deeper, removing a mysterious access panel under or near the driver's seat area to check the integrity of air connections and linkage in the cover's drive system.
Others here more familiar with the system may add better information for you.

Our step cover quit last September but it was because my wife closed with her purse strap wrapped around the roller.Larry dedrick was the Beaver mechanic on duty that day and fixed it for us! LOL Don't know anymore but Joel made some good suggestions.Just watch out for those purse straps!

James,
If your's is wired like our 07, check fuses 3 and 25 in the electrical bay below the driver. See attached.

Steve, thanks! I have the factory supplied tables, charts, etc. for our 07 Contessa, but I like your simple listing. I took the liberty of copying it and will keep it handy in the coach. Thanks again, Don
