Title: 2000 Patriot Air over Hydro Brakes what happens if you loose air pressure.
Post by: Marty Bailey on April 27, 2017, 05:54:59 PM
Hello everyone. Getting ready for cross county trip over mountains and I have a knowledge question for just in case. If I loose air pressure will I still some brakes without the air boost assist? I know the parking brake should engage just want to know I will also unassisted hydro brakes.

Marty,
You are correct, if you loose air pressure (extremely unlikely), the air pressure released parking brake on your drive shaft will apply and you will have unassisted hydraulic base brakes if you can press hard enough on the brake pedal.
