my repairman can't locate the low and high lines for the airconditioner. anybody have any answers? 2000 marquis tourmaline

Ours was an '04 Monterey.
The usual assumption would be to find the ports near the compressor at the engine end. Ours was hidden at the dash end. I had to extend the genset and look up and behind the front cap on the passenger side of the genset.

On our coach the blue(?) capped refrigerant fill port is a forearms length above the center line of the slide out generator and, as Bill indicated, right behind the front cap. I used Leslie's bathroom hand mirror to see up there. I didn't want to search around with my hand up there fearing I may find a yellowjacket's nest. To reach the fill port requires some contortions with my arm. I could just reach the fill port with my elbow resting on top of the front of the generator. I found that I needed to push out the generator only about ten inches to have adequate room for my arm and elbow. Taking the fill port's cap off is easy, but screwing the refrigerant fill hose on to the fill port is not so easy... but it's manageable.

A AC shop can put new fill valves in back at the compressor so you can get to them easily. Saves hassle and your back as well as potential shop time.

My 38' 2001 Contessa has the freon fill point in the rear on drive side just above the front side of 3126B muffler

Jack, your tech may benefit from removing the genset panel for access as Randy did in this thread, assuming that like many, the fittings are behind the front cap:

Just my opinion but you may want to consider having fill ports installed at the compressor in the engine compartment. I had them on our 2000 Marquis and it sure made it simple to access and will save you paying for the time a tech spends looking for/accessing the ones up front.

As you can see, the fill ports are located one of two places: Either above the gen set,on the passenger side or in the engine compartment near the compressor (where mine is). Either way, if the refrigerant is low, you'll probably need two cans to fill it.

As Steve referenced, (in my 2004) with the gen-set front panel off (just need to remove mounting screws), I was able to see the charge port above the gen-set on the upper passenger side.

On your coach the refrigerant ports or located under the front cap. The low side port is located high, up close to the evaporator core and the high side is lower, usually close to the dryer. Of course, since you have a side mounted generator, they are not above your generator.
