Title: Bevelled Mirror Loose
Post by: Ron Johnson on October 22, 2017, 12:03:00 AM
I have 2 vertical floor to ceiling 6 inch wide beveled mirrors located immediately left of the kitchen counter looking to the rear of the coach [visible when the main slide is out otherwise hidden]. The righthand panel has come loose and can be slid [slided?] to the right about 3 inches which still leaves it supported at the top and the bottom by the linear brass c-channel.

When I slide the panel to the right it exposes a dark brown hard material that I believe is some kind of glue or silicon that has hardened so the panel is not attached.

My question is should I glue the panel or silicon it or does it matter?? Whatever I do  it needs to be a thin bead so when the  slide comes in it misses the mirror.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Ron,
I used mirror adhesive when my mirrors came loose. Remove old adhesive where you can first. e.g.:  http://www.homedepot.com/p/Loctite-10-fl-oz-PL530-Mirror-Marble-and-Granite-Adhesive-1693636/203438035
