Title: Counter tops
Post by: Dale Soule on November 15, 2017, 04:00:54 AM
Has anyone drilled the kitchen area counter next to the faucet, We had to replace our kitchen faucet and the new one came with a soap dispenser, or would it be easier to leave well enough alone. I don't need a big project.

the standard corrion tops can be drilled / sawn with most wood working tools.
if the hole needs to be larger than a 1/2" you might use a hole saw.
I would spray soapy water on it to keep it cool & the bit clean

In our 2004 Marquis we drilled numerous holes for soap dispensers and other items in the Corian. As said it cuts with most any wood working type bits or hole saw and we never used any lubrication. It is very easy to work with.

Dale, the only other suggestion would be to place masking tape over the drill area to avoid any possibility of chipping the counter top at drill entry point.
