Title: Where is the "Bay Thermostat" located?
Post by: Mike Shumack on November 15, 2017, 09:27:30 PM
My Aqua-Hot is acting a little strange. Every so often I hear the #2 circulator pump cycles when everything is turned off (sounds like a servo motor turning on and off every second).

I posted this problem on the Aqua-Hot forum - and now want to check the "Bay" thermostat. This is the thermostat located somewhere in the basement  that prevents the fresh water tank from freezing. I have looked all over that compartment and have not seen anything that looks like a thermostat.

Where is it located and what does it look like?
Thanks again.

Mike , ours is located hanging above our water pump and in a closed off compartment with our holding tanks. The themostat appears to be a small circular metal device. Hope this helps

Thanks.
That's a start - I'll check there tonight. Is your thermostat adjustable?

Not totally sure, but I believe this is the round water bay thermostat referenced above and I believe its setting is fixed. It was easily visible atop the black tank after opening the water bay access door.

Mike,
Locate the heat exchanger for the water bay. The button stat is normally located quite close to it on the power line.
