Title: Another Aqua-Hot Issue
Post by: John Jahr on November 24, 2017, 08:55:27 PM
2005 Monterey  40' 3 Slides
Aqua-Hot AHE- 450-D 3 Yrs old

The problem I am having is after the unit runs for a while,  some times an hour and other times 2 days,  the green lite in the coach go's off and it shuts down.

I turn the switch off and back on  and it starts back up again. This is on diesel.

On the board, the heating status is green, pump 3 is red  and Burner status is green every thing else is off. This is before I turn of the switch  and turn it back on again.

Any ideas on what causes this would be appreciated. Also I just had it serviced and of course it wouldn't turn off when it was in the shop.

This one will take some guessing.  My first one is to tighten all the screws.

Our '04 Monterey was doing some strange things.  I found that many of the screws holding the wires to the gang connectors were loose.

Good luck!  Troubleshooting a AquaHot is a challenge.

The red light on pump #3 means it is not working.  Could be the impeller has broken or bad pump motor.  That may be the cause of your green diesel light going off.  The 450D's had issues with bad pumps and with the serial number, AquaHot can tell you if the pumps are in that range affected by those pumps.

If I’m correct, that red-lamped pump is for zone 3, your bay heat.  If you aren’t winterized, you’ll want to get that rectified before any freezing weather situation.  The Coach Assist section here has troubleshooting docs.  Page 9...    http://beaveramb.org/Data/PDF%20Manuals/Aqua-Hot%20450%20DE%20Owners%20Manual.pdf

Bill, Karl and Joel.

Thank you all very much for the information. I'm leaving North Carolina for Florida on Wed of next week and looks like only
one night down to 29 degrees for a couple of hrs.

I will get it fixed down there.

Thanks again for your help it is greatly appreciated.
