Title: Central air condirioner
Post by: Thomas Csibor on December 26, 2017, 10:25:14 PM
Next newbie question.  My coach a/c works great on shore power but will not come on with the generator running. I have a 10k gen so lots of current. Any one else experience this?

Tom, does any othe appliance not work i.e. the microwave? Suggest  checking your transfer switch for a loose connection because the transfer  switch changes power from shore power to generator power when plugged in to shore power when you start your generator as it has priority.

Tom,
Like Bryan stated above, you need to determine, first that the generator is actually producing power, and if so where it is stopping at. The A/C circuit after the transfer switch on your coach is the same regardless of whether you are on shore power or generator power.

Tom, there is a breaker switch on generator. Have you checked to see if it is tripped? If it is, you will not get any power from generator. Hope this helps, Frank.

When I first checked the breaker on the generator. it showed that it was on. I decided to reset it and found that it wasn't completely in the on position. Thank you for everyone's help.
