My wife and I are the proud owners of 97 Beaver Marquis Tourmaline. We headed out from our farm on Christmas Eve morning in a snowstorm on our first big adventure with our "new" coach to Venice, Fl. Our Onan, which has been worked on 4 times in the last few months by a local vender, failed us less than 15 miles from our house filling the coach with smoke before tripping the breaker. Needless to say it was a frosty ride down to I-10 in more ways than one. We were unable, going down, to get anyone to even pop the side panels and look for us. I have had to return to Iowa to support our RVing habit. We are looking for someone in the Venice area who is very knowledgeable about these units, to take a look and document for us what most likely occurred. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Try the service locator here, Gary; there is one in Nokomis: https://power.cummins.com/sales-service-locator. But there is listed an Onan RV full service one south of you at Ft. Myers. Also many members here go to Alliance Coach, north of Tampa in Wildwood.
Also check the Club's provider reference at beaveramb.org/forum/index.php/topic,5250.0.html
You will need Adobe Acrobat or other PDF reading program on your computer. Also check rvservicereviews.com for Florida.

As you know, Onan is a Cummins product. Cummins has 30+ "Coach Care Centers". They obviously have the Onan knowledge, parts and service. My experience with the Coach Care system was good.
There is one at 10088 S. 136Th Street, Omaha, NE. 402-551-7678
Another is at 8201 Ne Parvin Road, Kansas City, MO. 816-414-8200
Also 450 W Northtown Road, Normal, IL. 309-452-4454

Ft. Myers is a bit closer than this listing but there’s another in Tampa as well:
Cummins Coach Care Center
5910 East Hillsborough Avenue
Tampa, FL 33610

Joel and Neil,
I think he wrote that "I have had to return to Iowa to support our RVing habit."

Gary’s looking for someone around Venice to evaluate things I think, but has had to return to Iowa for work, leaving the rig in FL. At least that’s how I read it, Bill.

Yes that is correct, the coach is in Florida, and I looking to get it fixed in Venice, Fl. My wife does not drive the coach, so I am looking for someone who can perform mobile service down there.

This may be an option.
