Title: Cargo door weld cracked
Post by: Thomas James on January 29, 2018, 07:23:37 PM
Hey guys/gals, I have several cracked welds on my bottom cargo doors of my 94 Patriot. I know I can't weld them without messing up the paint. And putting a screw in there is out because it would stick out somewhere. Is there anyone out there who maybe has used JB weld or Epoxy to try and repair these things?? I'm really at a loss for what to do. Thanks in advance for any help. Later,

At least half my welds broke as well. I drilled holes and installed rivets. I used aluminum rivets. You can find places that the rivets wont interfere with the opening and closing of the door. Most are also on the inside so the are not seen on the outside of the door.

I repaired a couple of my cracked bay doors with JB Weld. It did well and its been solid for a couple of years now.
