I have been wondering how to get all the exterior windows cleaner and trim looking better.
I found out from a well known detailer in the area:
Use 0000 steel wool to remove water spots, bugs, and spots of paint or debris sticking to the window. It will not scratch the window.
I also cleaned the black frames with the same steel wool.
I then used a Meguire's product called 'back to black' and a small sponge to apply a couple of coats to the trim.
I then used Rain X window cleaner and rain protector and a couple of micro towels to clean them all.
The trims look like new and the windows are the cleanest they have been in 6 years....
