Title: Front Rear AC wiring
Post by: Bill Lampkin on March 01, 2018, 06:58:00 PM
We have a 2005 Beaver Patriot with front and rear ACs. Both new last summer, replaced original 5 button t-stats with new CCC2t-stats. Both operate OK. Question; Should the front and rear ACs be connected with the 4 wire phone cord? Two mechanics I've had work on the coach refuse to connect the two, they say you would only do that if you had one CCC2 operating both ACs. I get zone 1 on the front t-stat and (I think) zone 1 (blinking) on the  rear bedroom t-stat and zone 2 and 3. Seem to work ok, I'm just wondering if the two ACs need to be connected so they can 'talk' to each other?? I don't know what they would talk about.......

I don't have an answer for you but I'd like to hear their conversations if in English.

Mine are separate and there is a delay built into the AC's so they don't all try to come on at the same time.  Had the coach since new and have no problem because there is no wiring connecting the 3 together.
