Title: Fuel FIll Hose Leak

Head's up for you; JUst had our Beaver in for service and the CAT mechanic found a wet spot on the drivers side fuel fill hose. Not leaking drops yet, it was rubbing on an air brake hose. Replaced 2" fuel fill hose. Can get hose from any good rubber supply house. Tried to get hose from Transfer Flow in Chico, since that's where the fuel tanks were made, they didn't want to help! Disappointing! Anyway, the mechanic shortened the fill hose a few inches and made a bracket to support the hose mid length. He said the hose had a belly in it-might be why its so hard to fill at the truck pumps. We'll see next time we fill up.

On my Monterey I replaced the fuel filler hose with exhaust pipe. With the tank below one half I stopped in a muffler shop and they bent up a piece of pipe the right diameter. It made fuelling a lot better. Going to do the same on The Marquis as soon as i get the chance.
